APPROVED SCHOOLS
In order to become an auctioneer in Louisiana, you must have done one of the following:

Attended and successfully completed an 80+ hour course of auctioneering at an approved auction school
The schools listed below have been approved for LIVE, in person classroom instruction only, unless otherwise indicated.
- Completed a one-year apprenticeship with a Louisiana licensed auctioneer (valid for Louisiana residents only). You must submit an apprentice application and be approved by the Board to become an apprentice.

If you choose to attend an online version of auction school, you must be aware that your education will be accepted by Louisiana for licensing, but there is no guarantee that any other state will recognize your education. The online auction school MUST have you sign and submit the LOUISIANA ONLINE PRE-LICENSING EDUCATION AGREEMENT-STUDENT.
